Special Designer Song

Special Design Song is a stroboscopic, hand-drawn psychedelic journey. A unique, patented frame-splicing technique was used to create the visual effects. No overlays or layering was used in the film. No blends or special post-production tricks were employed. The shapes were all drawn and animated by hand.

The trick is to utilise the persistence of vision to enhance the moving patterns. Two sequences occupy the same timeline on alternate frames. Your brain creates the pattern inside your head.
