Meow Wolf's Infinite Worlds

It's a portal to another universe

How the ship would set sail in landlocked Santa Fe didn’t faze the members of Meow Wolf, a collective of dumpster-diving creative souls who first came together to throw dance parties and cobble together art environments installations that often resembled alien wonderlands. The ship, The Due Return, was their biggest project to date yet. Meow Wolf had constructed other temporary installations, earning local acclaim. But this, inside the well-respected Center for Creative Arts and open to the public at $10 a head, would be a turning point. It was the group’s first truly interactive show exhibit, and the first time the man who would become Meow Wolf’s CEO, Vince Kadlubek, realized the artists could create a sustainable business. “We had a product on our hands,” he would later say in a documentary about the collective’s origins.
